Terms and Conditions

Entries may be made only by schools and colleges located in England, Scotland and Wales.
Schools and colleges teaching students aged 5-18 are eligible to enter. In the Student award category students must be nominated by a teacher and given login details before completing an entry form.
All personal data will be stored securely and not shared without permission and for student category entries we will use the teacher as the main point of contact.
Multiple entries are allowed per school. The same project can only be entered in one category.
To enter for an award you must complete and submit an entry form. The entry form is available as an online form.
The information provided on the entry form must be correct to the best of your knowledge. You warrant that you are entitled to send all details and materials relating to your entry to the organisers and that all materials are original and do not infringe any third party rights.
Entries must satisfy the criteria of the awards scheme by showing excellence in the delivery of PFE teaching according to curriculum requirements.
Deadline for entries is Friday 28th April 2011. Entries will not be accepted after this date.
The organisers reserve the right to withhold some or all of the award amounts or to award greater or smaller amounts to particular projects if this is deemed appropriate.
It is a condition of entry that entries and supporting material may be used or published by the organisers or on their behalf as the organisers consider appropriate. Winning schools will be asked for confirmation that parental permission has been obtained to use any photos of children supplied.
Winning schools are expected to participate in publicity and photo shoots relating to the promotion of the organisers and the awards.
Winning schools must agree that case studies based on their entries can be used by the organisers in line with their commitment to spreading best practice.
The first payment of the award will be paid by cheque within one month of the winner being notified.
The teacher submitting the entry will be responsible for administering any prize awarded to their school. This includes the cash prize for the student category – the teacher who created the student account will be responsible for this. Cash prizes for schools are to be spent on teaching activity such as resources, equipment or events.
The organisers reserve the right to impose further conditions at the time any award is being made.
Winners of the awards will be notified by mail. A list of winners will be published on the awards website.
The winners will be selected by a panel of judges appointed by the organisers. The judges’ decision is final and there is no appeal system should your entry be rejected. No correspondence will be entered into.
Entry will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
The organiser of the RBS Personal Finance Education Awards for Schools is The Royal Bank of Scotland Group.
