A Maths teacher and a Citizenship teacher at this school worked closely with a consultant from pfeg to develop a unit of work around the topic of ‘Planning a Family Holiday‘. In teams, students were given a budget, researched costs and worked towards a PowerPoint presentation in which they would have to ’sell’ the holiday to the general public. The culmination of this work was a presentation to the pfeg consultant, who was invited back to the school.

The judges saw evidence of this PFE programme having been trialled and developed within the school, and of its impact. The programme also showed evidence of student self-assessment.
