As an ex member of RBS staff I was very disappointed to find that there are no awards for and does not include primary schools.
I am currently involved in a financial awareness project with 5 primary schools with the School Partnership Trust, in Garforth, Leeds and we do feel that this has been an innovative approach on how to teach our young pupils about money the role they have to play in their families.
Please could you let me know if there are any awards for primary schools in the future or would you consider our project for a special award?
I would welcome the chance to discuss this with anyone and look forward to your reply.
Hello David,
Many thanks for your comment. You’ll be pleased to hear the awards are soon to open to primary schools – watch this space!
You can email info@pfe-awards.co.uk to register your interest and be notified when the primary award is open for entries.
I would be very interested in learning about this award as my Primary School is committed to developing childrens’ learning with specific relevance to their local area. Also, Investors In Pupils insist that children gain a knowlege of personal finance
Thanks
Hi Louise,
Thanks for your comment. It sounds like your school would be eligible for the Primary Award. For more information on what is required to enter this category, see the Primary Award page and to enter click on ‘Enter Now’, then select Primary Award when prompted (after you have entered your details).
Remember the deadline for entries is Friday, 30th April 2010.
Good luck!
